“Weekend Getaways”, “Weekend trips”, “Weekend picnic spots”, “2/3 days outing” and “Getaways near Mumbai & Pune”…tried searching every thing for the sake of arranging a lovely getaway with your loved ones on an extended weekend (just like good Friday…having a bank holiday on Friday with Saturday & Sunday)!”.....

Dapoli via the picturesque Varandha Ghat…

The month of December is one of the most pleasant times to visit Konkan. An ideal alternative for those of you wanting to spend your Christmas holidays away from the noisy crowds and humdrum! A perfect way to recharge your batteries and energize yourself! My friend Atul (he is the one who has taken all those lovely photographs you see on hails from Dapoli and was our guide. We decided on a three-day trip planning to cover Dapoli and Murud in Rahul’s car......

Discovering the hidden Dabhol beach…

I discovered this hidden paradise when I first visited Dabhol along with my friends Atul and Rahul. I remember when Atul suggested, that we visit Dabhol, Enron was the only thing which came to my mind. We were staying in Dapoli and had just finished a tasty breakfast of “Kheema Pav”
We were also going to the beautiful, underground “Chandika Devi”temple and the fishing jetty. But when he started packing our beach gear too…I was intrigued! “Wait and See”, he said,…“We are going to visit the hidden black sand beach”.....
